RESEARCH WORK OF THE CHAIR “ECONOMY AND TOURISM”:
Teaching staff of the "Economics and Tourism" is constantly conducts scientific - research work.
Department of "Economics and Tourism" in the 2012-2013 academic year, organized a round table dedicated to the message of President Nursultan Nazarbayev "Kazakhstan's social modernization: Twenty Steps to the Universal Society of Labor".
The discussion was took part by professors, docents, graduate students of the University of foriegn languages and professional caree and of KazNU named after Al-Farabi and KazEU T.Ryskulov. The discussion covered a wide range of issues of social development in our country of its main directions.
In October 2013, staff of the department, together with the students of the department have organized a round table devoted to the Message of the President of RK "Kazakhstan 2050: The Present and Future". With invited guests from the University KazEU them. T.Ryskulov.

Teaching staff of the chair "Economy and Tourism" finished work on a research project on the topic "Introduction of innovative technologies in the competitive market of educational services management system."
The basis for the implementation of work (study program) of the Department has been proactive solution, taking into account the status and trends of development of science and social practice needs.
As part of the scientific program developed main directions:
- The current state of the world market and the development of educational services. Using the world experience in the management of state konkurentosposobnostyu.Sovremennoe and educational services market in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Innovative technologies in the marketing activities of the enterprise. Technology development of the brand in the system of promotion of the company;
- Formation of investment strategy of the enterprise.
Investment project: sources of funds for its implementation.
Aim of the project: study the main provisions of competitiveness management strategies of educational services in the RK and the development of theoretical and practical recommendations to improve their competitiveness.
Practical value: theoretical and practical recommendations on the effectiveness of educational services market will be developed. Recommendations and suggestions for the use of methods of introduction of innovative technologies in the educational activity. The calculations of the efficiency of the introduction of innovative technology projects.

Research project of the department "Introduction of innovative technologies in the competitive market of educational services management system." It was successfully completed in 2014.
At present, the department is working on a project entitled "Study of brand positioning LLP« TURKUAZ INVEST »in Kazakhstan. The purpose of the project: the Substantiation of key provisions of the competitiveness of enterprises and management strategies to develop theoretical recommendations for implementation technologies of formation of the brand. Practical significance: It is shown the role and place of LLP «TURKUAZ INVEST» and positioning its brand in the market of Kazakhstan. Wakes picture of the market is given by services within the scope of the LLP «TURKUAZ INVEST» will be developed recommendations for the development of strategies to promote the brand LLP «TURKUAZ INVEST» in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the project: development, experimental verification, creation of maps and tourist routes with the elements of place-names.
Practical significance: Creating scientific and methodological development of technological maps of tourist routes with elements of names, short courses, trainings and professional practices for the training of students and professionals active in the field of toponymy Kazakhstan. At present, the department is working on a project on "State and prospects of tourism development in Kazakhstan as foreign investment object" which ends in December 2015.
